an app studio of one
Apps that feel
like home.
ITDW Studio is where I make small, warm, carefully-considered iOS apps — the software equivalent of a good blanket and a second cup of tea.

☕ Things I've made
Small apps, big care. Welcome to the village — every app gets a home here.
Nobody's moved in yet — this cottage keeps the porch light on. Meanwhile, the kettle works.
Still on the needles. Every good app starts as one loose thread.
The next idea is a seedling. It responds well to water and encouragement.
🧦 About the studio
Hi, I'm the whole studio. ITDW Studio is a one-person, entirely indie operation dedicated to software that's cosy on purpose — apps that respect your attention, load fast, and feel like they were made by a human who cares. Because they were.
Most apps want something from you. Your notifications, your streak, your attention for just five more minutes. I wanted to make the other kind: small iOS apps you open, use, and close again without feeling like you've been handled. Software that's happy to be put down. If an app of mine ever nags you, that's a bug, and I'd like to hear about it.
- Small & sturdy. No feature bloat. Just the good parts.
- Warm by default. Friendly words, soft edges, no dark patterns.
- Details, always. The kind you might not notice — but you'd feel it if they were gone.
Being one person is the constraint that makes the rest of it possible. There's no roadmap meeting, no growth target, nobody asking why the empty state took a whole afternoon. It also means I ship slowly, and I'd rather be honest about that than pretend a village is full when it isn't. The cottages up there are waiting on purpose.
The same thinking built this page. It's hand-written HTML, CSS and JavaScript — no framework, no build step, no tracking, no cookie banner, because there are no cookies to warn you about. It weighs less than a single photo on most websites. Every cottage in the village is drawn by a bit of maths rather than a design file, which is why they're all slightly different and slightly crooked. That felt right for a village.
(There may also be a few things hidden around this website. I'm told I can be at times. George has written some of it down, though he's not a reliable narrator.)
